ADI Runs for Cover!
06/25/2006Wachovia Complex, Penn. (June 2006)
ADI joined hundreds of other runners and walkers to raise funds for the Foundation for Melanoma Research at the Wachovia Complex on June 25th. Bob Kelly of CBS 3 was MC for what was the first annual run/walk for the cause, while Whole Foods, Monster Energy, and Comcast, as well as a host of other enthusiastic supporters generously sponsored the event.
The Foundation for Melanoma Research (FMR) was founded in 1999 by Noreen O'Neill after being diagnosed with malignant melanoma. It is a non-profit organization dedicated to raising awareness and funding melanoma research. Historically, this is the first time the famous Wachovia Complex has been used as a route for a run.
In spite of gray skies and the constant threat of rain, Mother Nature kindly held off until after prizes had been given out and the Phillie Phanatic had hugged, kissed and dissed everyone is sight.
