Restaurant Delivery Site MainLineDelivery.com Launches
11/07/2008Advance Design Interactive is proud to announce the launch of MainLineDelivery.com, a startup venture serving the Main Line area of PA. ADI worked closely with MainLineDelivery.com to understand the complexities of their e-commerce business and develop a custom solution to meet their needs.
ADI designed a youthful yet trendy web presence for the company, which appeals to both college students, as well as working parents – the company’s target market. Furthermore, we implemented and customized our E-Commerce Platform. The E-Commerce solution allows site administrators to edit and manage their own products through a user-friendly backend admin program. In this way, MainLineDelivery.com has the ability to enter a new restaurant and upload an entire menu.
Customers begin the process by entering their zip code. The web site generates the restaurants that are open for delivery in that serving area. Customers can sort these restaurants by the type of food they offer, or view all open restaurants and their menus. These menus feature unique categories and upsells, which ensure that the customer is presented with all menu items, size options, topping selections and a space to type special instructions for the order. Customers can view a running receipt of their order and make changes either while they are ordering, or once they reach the Checkout page. Finally, customers enter their credit card information, or choose to pay cash for their order.
The web site then faxes complete orders to each respective restaurant, and alerts MainLineDelivery.com that each order has been placed. Customers can then track the status of their orders, or log in at a later date and easily re-order from their Order History.
